this role, you will oversee projects within the Process Automation
Marine & Ports (PAMP), providing clear guidelines, tasks and
milestones, while motivating and providing feedback.You will be
responsible to ensure delivery projects fulfill technical
requirements and that documentation and required approvals are
compliant with relevant class rules. You will participate in
developing technical proposals and financial figures for energy
efficiency improvement and modernization projects for electrical
and automation systems in all vessel segments. In the role you will
act as a Product Manager to provide Electrical Distribution
maintenance and modernization solutions to sales to manage life
cycle of ABB products delivered to ships over several years.
Additionally, you support Project Managers and Lead Engineers to
produce project engineering, documentation, review service reports
and solve technical problems. Occasionally you participate to
project execution onboard vessels anywhere in the world to ensure
high quality project delivery and testing.This position reports
toLocal Segment Service ManagerYour responsibilitiesReview life
cycle statements and related upgrade solution, review customers
specifications and develop new solutions to solve obsolescence and
energy efficiency needs Write technical specifications and prepare
financial calculations together with a sales team during a sales
phase and participate in customer meetings to present the technical
solutionProvide technical support to a project execution team and
communicate with key product suppliers to provide solutions and
financial offersYour backgroundBachelors Degree or Masters Degree
in electrical engineering and minimum 8 years of applicable
experience with on site experience in an electrical system on ships
and overall knowledge of ABB products and systems in use in a
Marine fieldHave experience of the key components like MV and LV
switchboards, protection relays, breakers and other components used
in electrical distribution on board a vesselService mind set,
solution orientation, good international communication skills,
ability to use own initiative and good collaboration with other
