EEG Technician - Electroencephalography, FT-Days, MRH: Electroencephalography - Hollywood, FL This position is located at MEMORIAL REGIONAL HOSPITAL - (Hollywood, FL) - and must be available / flexible to be scheduled to work weekends / holidays on a rotating / scheduled basis.
---- Summary:Performs electroencephalograph (EEG) testing. -- Detailed responsibilities:--- Attaches and connects electrodes on the head from EEG machine. Performs prescribed testing.--- Reviews patient's history and educates patient about procedure. Monitors and documents patient's condition and responds to and reports any seizure symptoms.--- Identifies and corrects artifacts. Edits and forwards results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.--- Performs long-term video EEG monitoring on patients, demonstrating proficiency in the International 10-20 system. Performs job functions following the Guidelines for EEG and Long Term Neuro-Diagnostic Monitoring in Epilepsy as set by the American Society of Electro-Neuro-Diagnostic Technologists.--- Performs data retrieval and reduction operations and video EEG recordings prepared in a form suitable for interpretation by the physician.
