This position executes the Information Technology operations for FirstService Residential in order to support our employees and Business Units as they provide service to our clients.Job ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintains a high level of customer service in responding to escalated help desk calls.
  • Responsible for maintaining, supporting, troubleshooting, and installation of all laptop, desktop, server and networking systems.
  • Builds, installs and delivers new PC and Laptop devices to end users
  • Troubleshoots and maintains printers, scanners, and associates reporting tools
  • Participates in the maintenance, support, troubleshooting, and installation of all server, desktop, and networking systems.
  • Assists in duties related to daily network backups.
  • Maintain, monitor and support all networking equipment including NIC configuration, switches, routers, and cabling.
  • Monitor and respond to all network security and virus threats.
  • Works together with IT leadership on strategies to effect and implement new company procedures, policy changes, etc.Additional Duties & Responsibilities
    • Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.
    • Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
    • Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
    • May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
    • Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
    • Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
    • Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibility
      No direct reports. Supervisory of 3rd party vendors during onsite projects a must.Education & Experience
      • Preferred but not required: Computer Science degree or technical certification (CompTIA, MCSA, MCP, ITIL, MOS, CCNA, CCNE and MCSE etc.)Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies
        To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
        • Strong customer service skills.
        • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook). MOS Certification Preferred.
        • Organization and prioritization skills.
        • Project Management skills
        • Strong Time Management.
        • Strong problem solving skills.
        • Proficient in troubleshooting applications
        • Knowledgeable in the company's products and protocols of the company's existing infrastructure, including Windows 10 and, Ethernet networking, Microsoft office automation suite, basic networking, VPN, Exchange e-mail server, and Internet Information Server (IIS), and TCP/IP.
        • Strong research skills.
        • Strong communication skills.
        • Preferred but not required: Computer Science degree or technical certification (CompTIA,MCSA, MCP, ITIL, MOS, and MCSE etc.)
        • Capable of working without day-to-day direction from supervisor, but knows when to solicit input.
        • Communicates well in non-technical terms to users
        • Ability to train, educate, and problem-solve with staffTools & Equipment Used
