direct lactation care and instruction to breastfeeding mothers and
infants.Responsibilities:Maintains knowledge of current lactation
theories and research.Designs and implements community
outreach/education programs and activities.Develops evidence-based
feeding plans that address the mother and infant's feeding
issues.Performs initial and on-going assessments of the patient's
lactation goals and issues.Competencies:ACCOUNTABILITY, CUSTOMER

Information:Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills,

Experience: One (1) year of nursing experience.Other Information:
Certification in lactation/breastfeeding is required. IBCLC
(International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant) is
preferred.Additional Education Info: Graduate of an accredited
