Overview:
Leads a team of Software Quality Analysts (SQA) and fulfills the role of a product owner to a team by managing the backlog and setting priorities. Leads the strategy and planning to ensure that developed products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards.

The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such functions are a logical assignment to the position.Develops and adapts the product vision; writes and specifies acceptance for user storiesWorks with peers, product designers, and senior engineers to ensure end-to-end testing and high-quality deliverablesGrows a high-performing SQA team, while working in an agile development process with continuous integration and deploymentCoordinates with the scrum master, while overseeing bug tracking and test prioritizationParticipates in test case review, design review, and change control activitiesContributes to the creation of test scenarios and test data for usage during the testing phaseAdvocates for testability, while identifying and reducing risk areas during the development processHelps to establish well-defined and consistent software quality practices and procedures; ensures they are followed across the software testing teamCoaches, guides, and mentors the SQA team; assists with onboarding, training, and performance evaluations

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university in a computer related field of study and eight (8) years of experience in a related field; or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND DESIGNATIONS: Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) or Certified Software Tester (CSTE) preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationshipsAbility to lead others to meet goals and objectivesStrong written and verbal communications skillsAbility to write general business-related correspondence and proceduresAbility to review and modify reportsAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to multi-task, meet deadlines, and focus on critical projectsAbility to organize and prioritize work for timely completionAbility to follow complex oral and written instructionsSkill in PL SQL, IBM DOORS, Atlassian Jira, and Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to travel up to 10% of the timeAbility to commute with personal transportationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
