Job Title: Internet Moderator 

Help us keep the internet free of hate speech! | LGBTQ+ & African American Societies | USA

Appen is currently looking for LGBTQ+ & African American societies living in USA. Are you interested in helping researchers understand how people from different demographics perceive online conversations? Would you like to help make the internet a safer place?

We currently need individuals in the United States to engage in a work-from-home opportunity on a contract assignment for an exciting work from home opportunity. This project aims to identify both explicit and implicit speech from a wide range of websites. Warning: this task may contain offensive language.

Individuals from all backgrounds are vital to this study. Those identifying as members of underrepresented sexual orientations, gender identities, and racial, ethnic, or religious groups, may qualify for additional tasks, as insights from these communities are for a complete, diverse understanding of the problem. Responses will be kept private and secure, and our support team will assist with any questions regarding the tasks provided to you.

Qualification Requirements:

• Must be living in the United States of America (LBGTQ+ & African American)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Work a minimum of 15 hours per week with the opportunity for more
• Possess a high-speed internet connection (Cable Modem, Fiber, DSL, etc.)
