Overview

The number one strategic objective for SGWS is to have world-class sales and marketing capabilities. As a valued lead on the corporate Commercial Strategy team, the Digital Trade Marketing Manager will act as the champion and primary partner for one of SGWS's priority suppliers, Pernod Ricard USA (PRUSA) in the goal of accelerating PRUSA's sales through ProofCommerce. He or she is responsible for providing strategic recommendations, managing digital trade marketing initiatives and digital advertising on the SGWS Proof eCommerce site. This role will work in partnership primarily with supplier digital contacts, SG Proof Team and SG New Ventures (B2C eCommerce) Team. The role will also support the American Liberty Division (ALD) local market digital activation personnel in executing national priority programming on ProofCommerce such as Flash Sales and other promotional activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic recommendations on how to drive PRUSA sales via Proof, using strong understanding of PRUSA business and nuances of account behavior on- and off-line
  • Facilitate planning, design, and implementation of all PRUSA/ALD corporate driven digital sales activities on SGWS Proof eCommerce site including:

o Collaborative planning to execute national and local sales programs via ProofCommerce (i.e. sales incentives, goals, funding allocation)

o Clear and customized communication of B2B enabled programming roadmap/calendar to key stakeholders

o Execution support of digital marketing campaigns thru SG Proof Marketing including campaign planning and analytics support; examples may include:

Strategic recommendations on optimizing SG Proof to deliver desired PRUSA outcomes

Provision available reporting and insights on eComm and non-eComm sales channel behaviors

Analyze SG Proof ad/email marketing campaign results and provide performance enhancement recommendations

eCommerce supported "Flash" sale performance

Coordination with supplier to ensure delivery of marketing assets

  • Measure and evaluate ROI and sales and promotion effectiveness of all PRUSA/ALD corporate driven digital trade marketing initiatives in-flight and post-mortem
  • Surface best in class analytics to further PRUSA's understand of Proof Commerce on it's overall business:

o Provide detailed reporting on impact of Proof Commerce on PRUSA business helping to combine various sources of information where necessary

o Maintain the knowledge infrastructure between PRUSA and SGWS as it related to ProofCommerce activities to enable cross-functional teams (e.g., expansion strategies, account segmentation, sales & performance data)

  • Lead national digital trade marketing program communications, supplier meetings, and business review/planning meetings.
  • Identify new digital trade marketing opportunities through consumer trends, customer segmentation, purchasing analysis, "pairs with" strategies, etc.

o Work with the SG Proof and PRUSA Digital & Distributor Partnership teams to stay up-to-date on new digital marketing, eCommerce, and CRM functionality and leverage all capabilities for supplier brand building efforts.

  • Ensure digital assets required to support B2B platforms are secured and deployed in timely fashion to support day-to-day B2B experience, reflect supplier commercial priorities and drive PRUSA/ALD corporate established sales initiatives. (i.e. brand landing page hygiene maintenance, seasonal rotation of supplier supplied creative)
  • Act as the gatekeeper for all state requests for assets/promotional materials required to support B2B eCommerce efforts
  • Serve as a B2B training support for ALD local market commercial teams
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 years of digital commerce experience (understanding of click-through rates, impressions, ad conversion rates, etc.) with mid-to-large size consumer package companies
  • Experience translating information into actionable recommendations
  • Able to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements as needed
  • Must possess a valid driver license and secure and maintain auto-liability insurance in accordance with state laws

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of Commercial Finance and Pricing practices
  • Knowledge of applicable state regulations and adult beverage market dynamics
  • Proficient working knowledge of computerized applications, for example, word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, email and specialized business applications software
  • Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all level of management
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and relevant stakeholders
  • Understanding of wine and spirits to include regions/varietals, product/food pairing techniques, basic production, and service
  • Must require little direction or supervision; thrive on creating and selling innovative ideas and demonstrate and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities on tight deadlines and maintain high level of quality output
  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Overnight travel as required
  • Previous beverage supplier programming and price structure experience

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • Critical nature of this job may require extended hours, overtime and weekends
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20 lbs
