**Job Summary:**

Evolent Health is looking for an IT Finance Director to be a key member of the Evolent Health Services (EHS) Finance team. This individual will join a small, fast-paced team of FP&A professionals at a growth-oriented public company and will play a critical role in executing Evolent Health's IT mission by ensuring that the company is able to plan for growth, execute on and track performance vs. budget, as well as make informed executive decisions backed by financial and strategic analysis. The Director, IT Finance will be responsible for supporting Evolent's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and the IT organization. This role will serve as a business partner to the IT organization as well as interact with business unit executives and finance and accounting personnel.

The primary responsibilities of the position include budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation, monthly close, and capital planning,reporting the operational budget for the IT department and vetting costs for IT component of business plans for departments, and assist VP leadership staff with IT procurement and vendor management functions as necessary. Our ideal candidate will possess a deepunderstanding of IT headcount management, IT business application and infrastructure projects, software licensing maintenance, data center and cloud infrastructure, expensed computer equipment and IT fixed assets.

**What You'll Be Doing:**

+ Financial Analysis - analyzing and communicating the key metrics and drivers of the IT Department's performance (against history, budget, forecast, and strategic plan); leading weekly budget meetings with the CTO and Chief of Staff (CoS); conducting monthly and quarterly operating reviews

+ Planning and Forecasting - owning delivery of the annual IT plan and support of the financial planning activities for the IT Department in a manner that yields challenging, but achievable, strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts and provides clear understanding of requirements and results

+ Owning the IT CAPEX Plan for software and product development and implementation work; understanding key drivers affecting the above processes and anticipating effects on our processes, deliverables, and results

+ Modeling - developing and maintaining various financial models (CAPEX, Cash, OPEX, Comp/Non-Comp) used to support decision making and sensitivity analysis; developing financial business cases and analysis for potential partnerships and new product initiatives

+ Special Projects - carrying out special projects as required, and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency and ensure accurate and timely distribution of key reports to stakeholders

**The Experience You'll Need (Required):**

+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field

+ 10 years of experience in a corporate finance function or conducting complex financial analysis in a related field (e.g., investment banking, consulting, etc.).

+ 5 years of experience in a corporate or consulting IT Finance role required.

+ Ability to utilize Excel at an advanced level, including knowledge of key formulas and functions, data mining techniques, data tables, pivot tables, V-lookups, macros, etc.

+ Experience building/managing budgets and/or management dashboards

**Finishing Touches (Preferred):**

+ Experience with cloud-based FP&A systems such as Workday is a plus

+ Analytical skills for financial research and modeling in a complex, multi-product environment

+ Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with both fiscal and non-fiscal management staff and stakeholders both verbally and in writing

+ Must be self-motivated, creative, detail oriented and able to work independently to meet deadlines within time constraints

+ Ability to interpret results and recommend improvements

+ Basic knowledge of US GAAP; solid financial acumen and highly proficient in accounting/financial principles

+ The ideal candidate must be independently motivated, a collaborative team player and adaptable to different situations and personalities

+ Knowledge of healthcare services and/or technology industries

**Technical requirements:**

Currently, Evolent employees work remotely temporarily due to COVID-19. As such, we require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 MBPS and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.
