Overview: GENERAL SUMMARY: Hybrid role in Miami, FL- Spanish required Claro Video, LLC ("Claro video") is the subsidiary of Am--rica M--vil, S.A.B. de C.V. ("AMX") responsible for providing over-the-top ("OTT") video-on-demand services throughout Latin America through its platform that offers a variety of non-linear (SVOD, TVOD, EST) and linear programming. AMX is the leading provider of wireless services in Latin America and has approximately 277.4 million wireless subscribers and approximately 84.3 million fixed revenue generating units in Latin America. Claro video is currently seeking a Corporate Attorney of Business & Legal Affairs to join the Claro video Business & Legal Affairs Department. This position reports to the VP, Business & Compliance. This position is based at Claro video's offices in Miami, FL.Responsibilities: Draft, structure, and negotiate: A variety of contracts, primarily agreements related to the acquisition, licensing, and distribution of film and television content for Claro video's OTT subscription and transactional video-on-demand services and linear channels available throughout Latin America; Other agreements related to professional service agreements and vendor agreements for the creation of marketing and promotional materials, digital media campaigns, and production related services; A broad range of technology service agreements, including software licensing agreements and connected device agreements for the development and maintenance of mobile applications; and Corporate related agreements as needed to ensure corporate compliance. Work directly with Claro video and AMX affiliates across Latin America to draft and negotiate intercompany agreements related to the licensing, distribution, and processing of film and television content and service-related agreements. Provide sound legal and business advice on a wide range of issues to the commercial managers, technical managers, operations managers, product developers, and other senior executives to effectively, strategically, and properly evaluate legal exposure and manage risk. Counsel and advise the broader business on an array of corporate law matters by applying a high level of problem analysis and problem resolution skills to all matters within the scope of responsibilities. Support and provide guidance to Human Resources to manage contracts related to employment and insurance issues on a case-by-case basis. Provide oversight of general legal and business practices and standards to commercial teams. Analyze contractual obligations, evaluate risks, and advise management executives on the legal compliance for new business initiatives while simultaneously finding creative, but realistic ways to solve or prevent issues. Direct other special projects and perform other related duties as assigned by management.Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment to ensure results are achieved and/or exceeded.Qualifications: EDUCATION:

JD from an ABA-accredited law school. Member of a State Bar (Florida preferred). REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3-6 years of transactional legal work experience, preferably legal affairs experience at a production company, studio, network and/or major law firm specializing in entertainment. Fully bilingual English and Spanish, written and spoken, is required. Well versed in Portuguese is not required, but helpful. Perfect candidate will possess some experience negotiating and drafting digital, film, and/or pay television acquisition and distribution agreements in international markets (preference for Latin American) and practical knowledge of the entertainment, digital, and television industries. Strong transactional contract drafting and negotiation skills. Confident in his/her interpersonal skills to develop relationships with a diverse group of people to relay information effectively. Solid communication skills, both orally and written, to communicate objections, tasks, or goals concisely, clearly, and persuasively. Excellent attention to detail in all aspects in the performance of his/her duties, including strong proofreading skills for spelling, grammar, and format. Highly organized in both work product and in exercising time management skills. Ability to exercise sound judgment, make well-analyzed decisions, and perform excellent follow through consistent with company policies, business needs, and contractual obligations. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight as well as work collaboratively as a team player in a self-motivated environment. Go-getter mentality with demonstrated ability to take the initiative and prioritize a substantial and diverse workload by: (i) timely completing tasks within tight and often changing deadlines; and (ii) identifying/addressing problem areas/issues to quickly assess clients' needs. Must possess a positive, team player attitude and volunteer readily to increase responsibilities.Job Type: Full-time
