Job Description:

OverviewThe Principal Salesforce Developeris to develop and enhance in-house software applications or extensions by coding with a technical language to meet business requirements and business objectives. This can includes taking technical specifications and developing an application or integration of data between applications, testing, as well as, completing the appropriate technical documentation. The developer will use best practices in software development and adhere to SGWS development standards, as well as, focus on quality and innovation. The developer may also be responsible for delivering support to end users in the organization for specific code, including troubleshooting code.Specialized Skills and TechnologiesDeep understanding of all key Salesforce Cloud modules including Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Marketing Cloud5 years developing in Lightening framework/Lightening Web Components, Visualforce, APEX, Java/JavaScript and Process Builder5 years developing API/Web Services, REST and SOAP, JavaScript, test automation3 years experience using Agile/Scrum to deliver Salesforce applicationsExtensive knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), specifically in Salesforce environmentsExtensive experience in data management and modelling within Salesforce environmentsExpert in SQL and Salesforce Object Query LanguageSalesforce certified developer I and developer II required with Salesforce certified administrator (SCA) strongly desiredExperience in Einstein Analytics is strongly desiredPrimary ResponsibilitiesServe in a team leader capacity with large-scale Application Development projects / programsHolistically design solutions in a complex environment. Needs to consider impact on entire landscape in the design. The solutions must be sustainable for the long termResearch/troubleshoot, maintain & configure software, create test scripts and test applications and interfacesLead the technical portion of projects schedule and run meetings, coordinate with the business and other key stakeholdersResearch, evaluate and recommend software and hardware productsDesign and implement architecturally compliant system landscapesMake recommendations to enhance processes, procedures and policies relating to systems functioning or performanceDetermine priorities and pivot accordinglyIdentify and mitigate risks with timely communication to stakeholdersDrive progressive improvements to enhance processes, functionality etc.Communicate with all teams in ETP and with the business across the businessLead the build-out or expansion of coding standards initiativesMaintain a working knowledge of Software Code Development leading practices and serve as a thought leader to the SGWS organizationProvide coaching and development to junior developersImprove efficiency of team to resolve problemsIdentify, recommend, and implement process improvement opportunities for Application Development programsFacilitate Code Development / Engineering training and education programs for the SGWS teamRecommend opportunities to lower testing costs or improve systems quality through alternative staffing models (e.g., gig, offshore, 3rd party)Providing coaching and development to othersOversee the work of 3rd party Development teamsDrive the development of business and technical process documentation and training materialsDrive the collection of required information to develop work scope around solutions to attain business requirements along with data needs as required.Serve as liaison between Divisions/Functions and IT on projects and enhancementsCollect and evaluate information, formulate as well as test hypothesis.Can drive technical validity of solution.Coordinate issues resolution activities with varied stakeholdersReview entire problem logs and identify recurring problems.Record projects status along with open issues every week.Ensure to follow up on problems and process independently related to solutions engineering.Participate in seminars, trade shows, and oversee internal demonstration facilities etc.Develop meeting structure and present at meetingsDetermine opportunities to redesign business processes to achieve better business resultsDetermine opportunities to automate business processes and functionsEducate the team on the goals of the businessManage process conformity and complianceLead the development of business and technical process documentation and training materialsLead the definition of project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements;
