Engineers bring expertise to the company in their field, Programming, Machining & Tool Designer, to support all PTI repair lines from current operation to new product industrialization, technologies and ensuring that the company meets the OEM standards.Essential ResponsibilitiesReviewing the Repair Document from the Engine Manual and developing CNC programming or Tooling which is compliant to the repair specificationsHave comprehensive knowledge of Renishaw probing subroutines programming and their integration to main programs.Generate and maintain CNC programs utilising software for Okuma, Mazak, Fanuc, Mastercam process for milling & turning including 5-axis CNC programmingMaintain, trouble shoot, and improve systems relative to the CNC functionVerify new CNC programs prior to release to the shop floor and completed First ArticlesDesign fixtures, gages, tooling using Solid Works, Auto Cad Inventor is a plus, review & approve of externally designed toolsInterface with machine tool suppliers on tooling lead times, cost and deliveryProvide operator training during new implementation of programs and toolingTrain PTI employees to the process you own and maintain a working relationship and regular communication with the process experts of the OEMGenerate the work instructions and development to the end, hand off too Production Engineering team and provides lead time, quality improvements, cost effectiveness, and/or EHS improvements to produce a quality product in the most efficient way.Provide expertise in maintaining and supporting Safety, Quality manufacturingMinimum 5 years of CNC machine programming experience with any software packages that integrate graphic programming, Millturn multi-axis machining and program simulation software: MasterCam experience is a plus.Knowledge of Solid Works, Auto Cad Inventor is a plus, Create drawings by ISO or ANSI standard, tooling design, and part reverse engineering.Knowledge of the following machine controls: Fanuc, Okuma=> OSP 300, Mazak=> EIA outputHands on experience in operating both manual and CNC machinesHave a general understanding of the following processes outside your expertise: surface treatments (chemical cleaning, stripping, blasting, high pressure water jets ), Plasma spraying, Conventional machining, CNC machining, TIG welding, EB Welding, Brazing, Tooling Design, Painting, Shot peening, Heat treatments, General blending, Dimensional inspection, CMM inspection, NDT (FPI, MPI, X-Ray, ECI, UT) Ability and willingness to work extended hours including to work off shifts as the needs of the business dictatesWorking knowledge and general understanding of Lean Manufacturing : Green Belt certification will be particularly appreciatedMust be able to read and understand blue prints as well as extract & utilize annotations provided within model based definition (MBD)Must have a thorough understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T)Strong
