Job Description:
Job Summary:
The---Senior Operations Development Specialist---plays an integral
role in developing the talent of our organization. The position is
responsible for delivering new hire orientations and helping to
create a positive first impression for new employees, development
and delivery of role-based training for the Customer Service and
Claims departments, and working with the Manager, Operations
Development to support other training initiatives. This position
requires excellent presentation and communication skills,
experience utilizing a variety of training methodologies and tools,
the ability to work in both a team environment and autonomously,
and a positive attitude.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, develop, maintain, and deliver training programs and
learning content
Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate the effectiveness
of training
Work with internal customers to help identify training needs and
make appropriate recommendations
Maintain training records
Partner with the training supervisor and other stakeholders to
identify training needs
Design and develop training curriculum, collateral materials and
learning tools
Utilize quality assurance and customer feedback tools within the
Operations department to identify training gaps and needs and
develop appropriate training modules to address them
Present, deliver, and support training programs and new hire
orientations for all departments
Evaluate, measure and assess the outcomes and impact of training
interventions/solutions
Determine any training deficiencies and recommend adjustments to
curriculum as needed
Complete Individual Training Reviews/Assessments for Operations
employees as directed by Corporate Training Supervisor
Develop and maintain a Knowledgebase for use by company
employees
Manage Knowledgebase updates in conjunction with departmental
training coordinators
Maintain training facilities and equipment and recommend new
equipment and upgrades as needed to Corporate Training
Supervisor
Provide necessary administrative training support, as requested
Complete Individual Training Reviews/Assessments for Operations
employees as directed by Corporate Training Supervisor
Develop and maintain a Knowledgebase for use by company
employees
Manage Knowledgebase updates in conjunction with departmental
training coordinators
Maintain training facilities and equipment and recommend new
equipment and upgrades as needed to Corporate Training
Supervisor
Provide necessary administrative training support, as requested
Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:
Minimum five years of experience developing and delivering training
programs and initiatives employing commonly used concepts,
practices and curriculum within the corporate training field
Prior experience working within travel, insurance, or other
regulated industry is preferred
Intermediate level experience or better using Microsoft Office
Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Intermediate level experience or better using eLearning authoring
tools such as Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate is
preferred
Education/Certifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in learning & development,
instructional design, or training, is preferred
Physical Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required
to stand; walk; sit for long periods of time; use of hands to
grasp, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; finger
dexterity; talk; hear. The employee is occasionally required to
climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee
must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally
lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities
required by this job include close vision, distance vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust
focus.

Reporting and Control
This position reports directly to the Manager, Operations
Development. This position supports Training functions across the
following North American legal entities: Generali Global
Assistance, Inc. GMMI, Inc. and TripMate, Inc.
