Registered Nurse (RN) | Operating Room Location: Miami, FL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,250 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years in acute OR setting License: RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: - 2 years current experience in acute Operating Room setting - Ortho, spine, and joint replacement experience, specifically knee and hip replacement Description: This is an Operating Room position requiring critical thinking and excellent patient care skills. The unit has 29 beds with a varied number of staff based on volume. Staffing includes 1 Charge RN, 2-3 RNs, 2 Techs, and a clinical coordinator on the day shift. The night shift has a similar staffing structure to ensure effective patient care. Patient ratios are typically at 3:1. Equipment used in the unit includes x-rays, preoperative tools, anesthesiology devices, laboratory equipment, electrocardiography machines, and EKG. The role involves the observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care for all patients. Typical procedures performed in the unit include joint replacements, ENT procedures, orthopedics, spine surgeries, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic surgery, and plastic surgery. Candidates who possess PALS, CNOR, or charge experience will be given preference. The ideal candidate is dedicated, reliable, proficient in charting, and able to multitask with an excellent bedside manner. The dress code requires navy blue or royal blue scrubs, with no surgical-type scrubs permitted. The role requires the ability to scrub and circulate for all service lines. Rotating weekends are possible, and on-call requirements include two weeknight calls, two weekend 24-hour calls, and one holiday call during the 4-week period. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of patient care and supporting the surgical team effectively.
