control purposes. Identifies, investigates, and records data
concerning nosocomial infections and infectious diseases. Initiates
infection control measures as directed by infection control
committee. Develops infection control policies and prevention
programs. Responsibilities: Provides staff training and
education.Maintains, records, tracks, and trends data concerning
infections and infectious diseases.Uses standard methods and
criteria for identifying infections.Investigates and monitors known
or potential sources of suspected infections in order to determine

Technologist License (TN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL),
Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT) - Compact RN
Multistate, Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of
Florida (FL) Additional Job Information: Complexity of Work:
Requires critical thinking skills, effective communications skills,
decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take
appropriate action. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint
and EHR systems.Required Work Experience: One (1) year of relevant
healthcare experience required.Other Information: Additional
Education Info: Registered/Professional Nursing, Epidemiology, or
Microbiology program, or a Master's Degree in Public Health
(MPH).Additional License/Certification Info: Florida State
licensure required for Registered Nurse or Clinical Lab
Technologist. Licensure not required for Master of Public Health.
