The Ob/Gyn Hospitalist Group at Memorial Healthcare System is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to join its growing team to supervise and lead a group of Advanced Practice Providers. The selected candidate will care for low to moderate risk obstetrical patients in a high-volume labor and delivery unit. In addition to clinical duties, responsibilities will include partnering with department leaders for strategic development and implementation of Quality Assessment (QA) and Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives, coordinating and supervising staffing assignments, and maintaining a positive collaborative workplace relationship with multidisciplinary team members. The ideal candidate will have clinical experience working in an inpatient and outpatient obstetrics setting. Candidates must have a national Certified Midwife Certification. A BLS, ACLS, and NPR from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire. Schedule requirements are a combination of 24-hour inpatient, Obstetric ED coverage and 8-hour outpatient shifts, with weekend coverage as needed. This is a full-time, exempt employed position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
