Summary:
Directs the daily coordination of personnel and resources within a
clinical specialty, division or department. Supervises and
coordinates administrative functions and day to day operations
within an assigned clinical area.;Detailed
responsibilities:
- Supervises Advanced Practice Providers (APP) clinical staff and
oversees APP clinical services. Assists with developing specific
departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly
support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
Supervises staff relations including performance management, staff
satisfaction and conflict management. Provides direction,
orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to APP staff.
Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary
actions.
- Determines, coordinates and supervises daily APP staffing
assignments, oversees APP scheduling, participates in recruitment,
and payroll activities. Responsible for all day to day operations
and monthly deliverables of the APP workforce in partnership with
operational leaders. Implements structured orientation and
onboarding for all new hires and provides a supportive environment
for ongoing professional development.
- Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of
clinical services. Performs quality assurance studies and assists
with implementation of QA/QI initiatives. Leads the handling and
resolution of complex issues and complaints.
- Partners with leadership to identify relevant productivity
metrics specific for the practice area, inclusive of quality
outcomes.
- Monitors departmental compliance with applicable requirements,
including accreditation, legal, The Joint Commission and other
applicable regulatory agencies.
- Perform clinical assignments for approximately 80% of the time
and, as needed.

Education equivalent experience:

- If APRN, must be Master's prepared, exempt from Master s Degree
requirement if graduated prior to 1998. If a PA, must be a graduate
of an accredited PA or medical science program where a Master's
degree in PA studies is preferred.

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive
judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be
able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate
action.
Required Work Experience: Three (3) years APP experience in related
field with progressive supervisory/leadership experience.
------This job requires privileging and credentialing, and licensed
in the state of Florida.------If APRN, Must be Master's prepared
and employees who are hired/transfer/re-hired must meet
certification requirements or possess 7 years of APP experience in
particular area of expertise. Any movement requires meeting the
credentials outlined in the job description. If a PA, must be a
graduate of an accredited PA or medical science program where a
Master's degree in PA studies or Medical Sciences and NCCPA
certification is preferred. Doctorate Preferred. ATLS, ACLS or PALS
may be required depending upon the area of practice.;;;
