Job Description:

RN Specialist-Trauma PI, FT-Days, MRH: MRH - Trauma ProgramThis position is located at MEMORIAL REGIONAL HOSPITAL- (Hollywood, FL) - and will support the administrative side of the Trauma Program. [Will be scheduled to work MONDAY - FRIDAY. (No weekends, holidays or on-call.)]


Ensures that patient care services are delivered in a manner that balances quality of care with efficiency, cost-containment, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Detailed responsibilities:

* Analyzes trauma cases for prospective, concurrent, and retrospective review of documentation, care, and compliance with trauma policies and performance improvement indicators.
* Communicates with healthcare providers and community partners for the purposes of performance improvement, outreach, and education.
* Participates in multidisciplinary rounds to ensure coordination of care. Assists in trauma resuscitation when needed
* Develops, implements, and facilitates quality evaluation, education, and improvement initiatives.

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required Work Experience: Five (5) years of nursing experience with at least two (2) years of trauma specific patient care experience. Critical care preferred.
