an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Registered Nurse in the
Diagnostic Radiology department at the UTower location. Delivers
general nursing care to patients in all areas of the
Radiology/Imaging Department, assesses patient condition and takes
immediate action in emergency situation. Responds to patient needs
before, during and after procedures including assessment of
condition, cardiac arrest, intravenous problems. Performs pre,
intra and post-examination assessments for angiography, CT scan and
minor special procedures, including physical exam with extremity
pulses, allergies, current medication and medical history which
would have an adverse effect on the patient or exam and sedation
analgesia. Educates patient and family about pre, intra and post
procedure care. Documents care and relay information to physician
and patient care unit. Follows established standards and practices
under the direction of a credentialed radiologist, credentialed
invasive radiologist or credentialed intravascular surgeon. A safe
practitioner who continually strives to improve clinical knowledge
and skills. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education:Graduate from an
accredited school of nursing, Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred.
RNs hired with an Associates (ASN) degree have 2 years to complete
the BSN degree.Certification and Licensing:---Valid Florida
Registered Nurse License; Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
and ACLS from American Heart AssociationExperience:Three (3) years
of critical care or telemetry experience. The University of Miami
