Title: Project Manager - Marine and Ports
Location: Miramar, FL
Shift: Day
Compensation: 90k-100K

Position Description:
The Project Manager (PM) oversees all aspects of the project using
planning, monitoring and controlling processes. The PM is
responsible for co-ordination and completion of the project and to
this end will perform a variety of tasks including setting
deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and
summarizing progress of the project. The PM may be responsible for
several projects at a time
--- Manages/Documents employee project performance, makes
recommendations to operations management.
--- Works with operations management to staff project teams.
Assigns individual responsibilities for the team members.
--- Creates and executes project work plans and revises as
appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
--- Manages/leads project team to ensure project success and team
spirit.
--- Works closely with site manager to coordinate site activity.
Acts as the site manager on some smaller projects.
--- Examines new contracts to ensure adherence to terms/conditions
and specifications.
--- Assesses/Manages project Risks and Opportunities.
--- Builds and maintains Company/Customer relationship / Ensures
Customer satisfaction.
--- Conducts meetings to exchange information and resolve problems
on assigned projects
--- Eventually coordinates smaller service jobs.
--- Monitor/analyze/report contract performance.
--- Manages project budget.
--- Generates and/or approves purchase orders.
--- Approves invoices, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.
--- Reports opportunities and problems to management.
--- Resolves disputes over back charges, delays, warranties,
etc.
--- Follows up, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices.
--- Determines appropriate revenue recognition.
--- Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, and other
metrics.
--- Manages/Reviews change requests, prepares quotes/implement
changes, with support from technical and other staff as
required.
--- Assists sales/account management to generate quotations and
proposals, with support as required.
Requirements:
--- High School Diploma or GED and 6 years' marine industry,
electrical engineering or diesel engine experience or
Associate degree and 4 years' marine industry, electrical
engineering or diesel engine experience OR Bachelors' degree and 2
years' marine industry, electrical engineering or diesel engine
experience.
--- Preferred: Project Manager certified
