Job Description:
Overview:
Directs the development of IT strategy that supports the company's
strategic business plan and coordinates this effort across IT.
Manages a team that assumes responsibility for strategy and
development, including systems and application development, vendor
management and legacy systems integration.

position.Manages and oversees the design and development of
software applicationsDirects the work of Software Engineer team to
ensure best practices around software development and acts as a
coach, mentoring developers to improve their skills and design
stellar projectsAnalyzes software requirements, implements design
plans, reviews technical design documentation, code, and unit
testsManages the logistics of the team, from hiring and
right-sizing to training and promoting to enforcing
deadlinesMaintains product quality from end-to-end, ensuring
quality through the coding process and for the delivered
productEnsures that project/department milestones/goals are met
while adhering to approved budgetEnsures appropriate software
development procedures and processes are followedRepresents the
software department in meetings and participates in design control
activitiesParticipates in strategic planning to accomplish
technical as well as business goals with the team, leadership
chain, and with customersFosters an efficient and positive
engineering culture in the workplace; ensuring that engineering
teams are operating smoothly and efficiently while completing
projects.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The
requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,
skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degrees in Information Systems, Business or related
field from an accredited college or university; supplemented by two
(2) years of managing a software development group, and working
with developers, project, and release managers and seven (7) years'
experience in software programming architecture technologies
including: Java, Spring Boot, Angular 2+, HTML5, CSS, TypeScript,
Hibernate, PostgresSQL, docker, Kubernetes, AWS technologies or an
equivalent combination of education, certification, training,
and/or experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND
DESIGNATIONS: Certified Scrum Master, Java Certification, AWS
Certification preferred.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to
manage onshore and offshore teams via several different
communication avenues (other countries and remote-only team)Must
have current skills in coding, reviewing code and debuggingAbility
to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working
relationships with those contacted in the course of workAbility to
lead others to meet goals and objectivesAbility to analyze and
document complex business processesAbility to multitask and remain
flexible when priorities or work direction changeStrong analytical
and problem-solving skillsAbility to explain technical concepts in
non-technical terms to customers and staffAbility to communicate
effectively orally and in writingAbility to delegate, manage and
supervise effectivelyAbility to perform business analysis and write
technical requirementsKnowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle
(SDLC) methodologyKnowledge in creating detailed test cases/scripts
based on business and functional requirements, as well as reviewing

quality assurance methodologyAbility to travel up to 20% of the
time.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The work environment characteristics

exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, which may
involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects
