Reporting to the Service Business Manager and working as a member
of the Project Execution team in Service, Process Automation Marine
& Ports in Miramar, Florida, you will be coordinating and assisting
the site works team in the cost effective execution of deliverables
in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards,
schedule and safety requirements.Project Management team is part of
Marine Propulsion Service organization that supports global marine
customers with Azipod propulsion systems.You will be responsible
for leading and coordinating Azipod propulsion units maintenance
work sites primarily during dry docking of the vessels. Sites are
around the world and work on one site typically lasts approximately
2 to 3 weeks.Your responsibilities
- Site leadership by supervising, motivating and leading the site
team. Your duties will include planning, scheduling and
installation supervision of the Azipod - propulsion systems
maintenance and modernization activities in vessel dry dockings in
cooperation with the customer, shipyard and classification
society
- Working collaboratively and communicating effectively with
Project Managers and project team and participating in project
planning and scheduling
- Acting as key contact with Project Manager for external
customers and actively communicating internally and externally on
the project status and planned actions
- Ensuring that execution of site activities is carried out
safely, efficiently and with high qualityYour background
- Technical background, example Bachelor of Science in
Engineering or similar field of study and minimum 5 years of work
experience with challenging operational responsibilities or
supervision of sites
- Have proven leadership skills and the ability to effectively
manage a site team with a strong focus on safety, quality and
customer orientation
- Experience in the marine industry is considered as an
advantage
- Have experience from direct customer interface and you have a
service mindset and good communication skills in English
- You are solution focused and collaborative and you have a sense
of urgency in dealing with issues and tasks
- You have the ability to work in fast pace environment under
pressure
- You have willingness and ability to travel (approximately 120
to180 days a year)
