Property Management Senior Accountant - The Position is 100% in office.
This role will report directly to the CEO and provides the opportunity to grow with the company. This person should have prior experience with Real Estate Accounting (Commercial Property Management)
You will serve as a financial liaison and primary facilitator of all financial matters for our growing commercial properties.

  What will the Senior Accountant do?
  
  • 
    
  • Oversee tenant accounts and ensure proper reporting of AR/AP
    
  • Perform analysis, develop financial reports and related schedules, and external reports for compliance.
    
  • Monitor and prepare reconciliation of all accounts and ensure accuracy of various databases.
    
  • Communicate with property management to assist with the preparation of portfolio annual budgets and forecasts.
    
  • Bank reconciliation
    
  • Manage, analyze, and interpret leases.
    
  • Compile supporting documentation for tenant audits.
    
  • Ensure accounting policies and procedures are properly communicated and staff are trained on these policies.
    
  • Responsible for maintaining the accounting system up to the general ledger.
    
  • Assist with any related special projects.
    
    What does the company look for in the Senior Accountant?
    
    • 
      
    • At least 5 years of accounting experience is required.
      
    • Commercial real estate experience; multi-state a plus
      
    • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel are required.
      
    • Self-starter with proven organizational skills needed along with excellent communication (written and oral) and leadership abilities.
      
    • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change, multitask, and work independently as well as part of a team. Must be hands-on yet comfortable delegating and monitoring work product and workflow.
